SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Paul Rave, the UC Santa Barbara women's water polo assistant coach, has been named interim head coach it was announced recently by the UCSB Athletics Department. Rave will be filling in for the remainder of the 2008 season for head coach Jenn Durley due to medical reasons.

The No. 18 Gauchos, who have gone 4-13 this season and 0-7 in conference games, return to action on Friday when they travel to No. 3 USC for a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match-up. The game with the Trojans is scheduled for a 5 p.m. first sprint at McDonald's Swim Stadium.
