UCSB Head Coach Kathy Gregory:
"This is one of the finest matches in a team that I have ever coached has played in an NCAA game. I had a feeling after last night that we might be a little tired with the Fresno State game."
"I felt that we had a great game plan, we really wanted to stop Mia, and we wanted to stop Camille in the middle. We know that those two are the energizers and the nucleus of that team offensively, but what we saw tonight was a team that was on a mission that played unbelievable defense. I don't think Berkeley has seen that kind of defense and that kind of intensity."
"We showed them tonight a team that is focused and plays to the best. Tonight we had some energy that was electrifying for me as a coach as well as the crowd, which was unbelievable. These girls were so pumped up we could of played five more games."
"We're the kind of team that yells and celebrates, we have enthusiasm. They are more of a quiet team, so I said 'let's let them know what our style is, and our style makes us play better.' I hope that people like to see a team that gives a hundred percent and believes that they can dig every ball and I think that's the philosophy of this team."
"Pepperdine is a great team and we would like to play them again. We didn't play our best, and we know that they at the beginning of the season were ranked in the top six and they have proved it. They've won a lot of great games and a good regional here."
"I want to thank our Athletic Director Gary Cunnningham, and Bobby, and our Chancellor for putting in the bid for these regionals and giving these seniors as well as the rest of the team another chance to play for their dream, to be in the final four. Were gonna play our hearts out for this school."
"All we want is the opportunity to go to the Final Four and we've reached the Sweet 16, like we are, we know that we're two games away, and we know that these are two of the greatest teams that are gonna be there, but it doesn't really matter. What really matters is that you line everybody up across the net and you let the chips fall where they fall and we're just gonna give it everything that we have and that we're just appreciative to be able to have this chance to play at home one more time."

Courtney Guerra- Outside Hitter:
"I think that our game plan was to contain both those hitters, we knew that they were going to get their kills, and Mia did, and we kind of shut down Camille, so it was a big plus for us."
Francina Edmonds- Outside Hitter:
"Redemption," on thoughts on playing Pepperdine in the next round.
Cal Head Coach Rich Feller:
"I'm pleased with the way our team competed and never gave up, and when the match seemed over, we came back strong and played pretty tough."
"I think our team is capable of being a top 16 team. I do believe this was the toughest regional as far as the closeness of the teams, so I feel great about the way we competed."
"They (UCSB) would be a very good Pac-10 team. The toughest thing about the Pac-10 is that we play those teams twice every year. We go back to back against UCLA and USC, there's nothing like that in this country. I'd love to see them in it, bring them on."
"Camille is not hitting the slide because of the sprained ankle that kind of restricted to using her in front, which dosn't help Mia out there because the blockers all get to move the same way all the time. Camille was just not as effective tonight."
"Our pre-season goal was to get to the tournament, and we already surpassed that goal by winning last night. Its not that we're satisfied but we're extremely happy with reaching all of our goals and then some."
