Bethany Nickless Named Big West Athlete of the Week, Decathlon and Heptathlon Championships This WeekendBethany Nickless was named the women's track Athelete of the Week after running a seasonal-best in the steeplechase at last weekend's Payton Jordan Invitational. This is the second weekly award for the Gauchos this season, as Ryan Martin was named the male Athlete of the Week earlier in the year. The Big West Championships also begin this weekend with the decathlon and heptathlon championships, which take place this Friday and Saturday at Cal State Northridge. Nick deBeaubien is UCSB's decathlete, and Lauri Schakett is UCSB's heptathlete. FULL STORY05/03/2008
