After leading the UCSB women's track and field team to its first Big West
Conference championship in program history, junior sprinter Kylie McCuen was
recognized as the league's Track Athlete of the Year. After winning the
400-meter Big West title Saturday with a personal best time of 54.52, McCuen
helped wrap up the team title for UCSB by lowering her own school record in
the 200-meter dash to 23.88 and claiming her second event of the meet in
Irvine.
