Plucked straight off the UCSB rugby team, Kara has taken advantage of her
size and power to lead the women's javelin squad. In 2006, after having only
thrown the javelin for a few months, Kara managed to qualify for the
conference championships in her first season as a Gaucho thrower. This year,
she looks to get into conference finals and snag some key points for the
Gauchos.
