2008
Lightfoot capped off her sophomore season with an impressive performance in the discus at the Conference Championships. Her best throw was 152-7 (46.51m), which was good for fourth place and the sixth-best discus mark in UCSB history...She also set a personal best in the hammer at Conference, throwing 155-8 (47.44m) to place ninth...In the shot put she converted from the glide style to the spin style, which should help her improve her marks in the upcoming seasons.
2007
Threw a personal best 43'8.25" at the Cal Poly dual meet, a mark that stood as the eighth-best in school history...Competed at the Triton Invitational and achieved a best throw of 41'5.25"...Was second in her flight at the Cal-Nevada meet, throwing 41'4.5'...Threw 40'6.75" at the Northridge Invitational, and 40'4.75" against Westmont and LMU...Took seventh at the All-Cal Challenge with a mark of 41'4".
High School
North Bay League MVP in the 2006 track season...Lettered in a number of different sports, including basketball (four years), volleyball (three years), and, most importantly, track and field (four years)...She is the Maria Carrillo High School record-holder in the shot put (42'9.5") and the discus (129'10").
Personal
Majoring in business economics...The daughter of Dan and Meta Lightfoot...Has an older sister, Megan, who rows on the UCLA Bruins crew team, and a younger sister, Katie, who is a multi-sport athlete at Maria Carrillo high school.
