Qualified for the Big West Championships in the 800m her freshman season, after running a conference-qualifying 2:15.69 at the Occidental Invitational only hours before the deadline...Ran 2:17.61 at the Conference Meet...Took seventh in the 800m at the USC Trojan Invitational, running a 2:17.33...Was sixth at the All-Cal Challenge with a time of 2:20.34.

Brunner was seventh in the 2006 Peninsula Athletic League Cross Country Finals and 15th in CIF-Central Coast Section finals...In the 2007 track season, she was third in the 800m and fourth in the 1600m at PAL Finals...She placed fourth in the CIF-CCS Finals, just missing qualifying for the state meet...She holds her high school's record in the 800m with a time of 2:14.59...Valedictorian of her senior class.
