MORAGA, Calif. - The No. 37 Saint Mary's women's tennis team earned its fourth consecutive win, as it took down the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos, 6-1. Two out of the Gaels' three doubles teams recorded wins, capturing the doubles point, while earning five points in singles play.

The loss drops the Gauchos to 7-9 on the year and Saint Mary's improves to 12-4 overall.

The Gaels started off on the right foot as they captured the doubles point with wins at the No. 2 and 3 positions. Seniors Stef Ordoveza and Feline Charlot paired-up to defeat UC Santa Barbara's Jill Damion and Asagi Onaga, 8-4. At the three position the freshman duo of Alex Poorta and Calire Soper took down Tova Hausman and Brittany Kausen, 8-3.

In singles action senior Jessica Hoath dominated Marta Simic, capturing a 6-2, 6-2 win at the No. 1 position. Poorta and Soper defeated their opponents, 6-4, 6-2, and 6-3, 6-2 respectively, and rounding out the singles wins were Ninke Strijbis and Erin Young, recording the victory at the No. 4 and No. 6 spots.

Saint Mary's match against the Gauchos was the last regular season competition on the year, marking the seniors' last appearance at the Korth Tennis Complex.
