2006-07: Asagi Onaga and her doubles partner, Carina Bjornstrom, received Hornorable Mention for doubles competition in 2006-07... The duo posted a 6-7 record overall at the No. 2 spot... Onaga ended the season with a 14-12 overall mark in singles play and an 11-10 dual record.

Asagi Onaga prepped at El Segundo High School where she played for her father, Kirby Onaga...She was a three-time Ocean League singles champion and a four-time Ocean League Most Valuable Player...Was ranked 46th in the ITF 18 and under Sectional Rankings and 353rd in the National Rankings...In addititon to her father, she was coached by Jun Hirasawa.

Onaga is the daughter of Kirby Onaga and Hiromi Ishimaru...Started playing tennis at the age of eight and started playing in tournaments at the age of 12...Favorite authors include Judy Blume and George Orwell...Speaks fluent Japanese...Favorite novels include "1984", "The Great Gatsby" and "The Joy Luck Club"...Pete Sampras, Lindsay Davenport, Mariano Rivera and David Beckham are her favorite athletes.
