LAS VEGAS, NV - The Gauchos put up a fight against long time rivals UNLV Saturday January 27, 2007 at Buchanan Natatorium but came up at a loss, 120 to 121. UCSB did not walk away with a total loss, they also competed against Colorado State in the double dual meet and won that match up 174 to 67.

Senior Jen Schwalb did her best to earn the team points by winning two events. She won her signature events, the 200 fly with a time of 2:04.83 and the 200 IM with a time of 2:06.36. Liz Wagner won the 200 free, 1:52.67 and teammate Nadia Dwidar took second with a time of 1:53.21. Jessica Cruzat won the 200 back, 2:04.06 and took second to Jen Schwalb in the 200 IM with a time of 2:08.61.

The Gauchos head home and welcome University of the Pacific to Campus Pool on February 3, 2007.
