SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The UC Santa Barbara softball coaching staff will be hosting open tryouts for the 2008-09 season on Thursday, Sept. 25 it was announced Tuesday by head coach Brie Galicinao. The tryouts will begin at 3:30 p.m. at the Gauchos' Campus Diamond.

Before trying out, prospective student-athletes must complete a medical release form and return it along with proof of insurance to the intercollegiate athletics training room. The form may be accessed online through the athletic training room website: Proof of Insurance Form.

Students wishing to tryout must also be enrolled in the minimum number of units at UCSB.
