Sophomore forward Krystal Sandza scored two goals and sophomore forward Jennifer Borich scored one, as the UC Santa Barbara women's soccer team tied Utah State on Friday afternoon, 3-3.
Sandza, who leads the Big West Conference in goals with 21, scored her pair of goals in the first half. Her first goal was assisted by Molly Martin and the second was assisted by Jen Codington. Borcich, who now has ten goals on the season, scored her goal in the second half and it was assisted by Codington, giving UCSB a 3-2 advantage. The Aggies, however, tied the score 3-3 with just over eight minutes remaining.
The score remained 3-3 the rest of the way.
Sandza with 21 goals and Borcich with ten, give UCSB two players with double-figure goal totals in the same season for the first time since 1990.
The Gauchos are now 9-3-2 on the year, 2-0-1 in Big West play. UCSB wiil travel to Idaho on Sunday afternoon for another Big West Conference match.
