UC SANTA BARBARA 2007: Genelle Ives sat out the 2007 season after preseason knee surgery.
2006: Ives was a First Team All-Big West choice after tying for the Gaucho team-lead with seven goals...She also had four assists for 18 points...Played in all 20 matches in 2006, starting 15 times...Ives scored a pair of goals in a Big West win at the league's eventual NCAA representative, Cal State Fullerton...Also scored goals against San Diego State, Arizona State, UC Riverside, St. Mary's and Cal Poly...UCSB went 5-0-1 when she scored a goal...In fact, Ives either scored a goal or an assist in all seven of the Gauchos' victories...Five of her seven goals came in Big West Conference play...Had 48 shots, including 28 on goal, both team-highs.
2005: Ives had an outstanding freshman season in 2005, leading the team in goals, points and shots...The forward was named Big West co-Freshman of the Year and Second Team All-Big West after notching six goals and six assists for 18 points on the season...Ives goal total was the sixth-highest in the Big West while her point total was tied for the seventh-highest...Ives never scored more than once in a match, but she recorded goals in games against Fresno State, Rutgers, Hawaii, UC Irvine, Pacific and Cal Poly...Ives best match came in a win over Hawaii when the she recorded two assists to go along with her goal.

Ives prepped at Dana Hills High School where she played forward...She was selected First Team All-South Coast League and Second Team All-Orange County following her senior season...In 2002 and 2003, as a freshman and sophomore, Ives was selected Second Team All-South Coast League...Tallied six goals and five assists as a senior...Her best offensive season came when she had 13 goals as a sophomore...She was a two-time Offensive Player of the Year for Dana Hills...Coached by Cindy Steinert...Played for the Southern California Blues at the club level where she was coached by Randy Dodge...The Blues were a 2005 Pateadores Tournament finalist, and a 2005 State Cup Finalist...She was chosen the Pateadores Tournament MVP after leading the Blues to the 2004 tourney championship...Ives was also chosen MVP of the 2003 Nomads College Showcase after helping her team to the championship...Ives also helped guide the Blues to the 2004 Fall Surf Cup title.
PERSONAL
Born March 22, 1987 in Newport Beach, Calif....In addition to soccer, Ives hurdles for the UCSB track team. She competed in four years of volleyball, three years of track and field, and one year of surfing at Dana Hills HS...She is on Dana Hills' Wall of Fame after earning 12 varsity letters and being selected to six all-league teams in three sports...Holds her high school's record in the 100 meter low hurdles (14.63) and in the 300 meter low hurdles (43.20)...Ives qualified for the 2003 CIF State Championships in the 300 meter low hurdles and finished sixth...She was twice chosen Dana Hills' track MVP...As a volleyball player, she was a First Team All-South Coast league selection in 2005...Also chosen her team's Best Defensive Player twice (2001 and 2002) and Best Offensive Player once (2005)...Majoring in environmental studies...Interested in marine conservation...She was a member of the Principal's Honor Roll at Dana Hills HS...The daughter of Robert and Adonna Ives.
