SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - UC Santa Barbara men's and women's basketball season ticket holders will have an opportunity to get to know the Gaucho players and coaches at the second annual "Meet the Team" event on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007, from 4 to 6 pm at the Thunderdome.

The event, which is exclusive to season ticket holders, will offer fans a variety of opportunities to meet and interact with the athletes and coaches. Guests can take advantage of one-time photo opportunities or challenge their favorite players to one-on-one on the Thunderdome court. There will be the "Gaucho Moments" gallery, which will feature photos, films and trophies from UCSB's basketball's past and present. Guests will also have the opportunity to received autographs from the athletes.

The UCSB TeamShop will also be open for attendees to put their "Gaucho Bucks" to use for the latest UCSB gear. Light food and beverages will be served.

Season ticket packages will be sold at the door for those who wish to attend.
