2006 Track & Field: Continuing his improvement over the months, Totari finished is Freshman year with a great season and a few points at the Big West Championships to go along with it. At the USC Trojan Invite he finished 4th in the 3,000m with a 8:43.81 only to improve that time to 8:39.30 at the Big West Challenge Cup a few weeks later. At the Cal Poly SLO - UCSB Dual Meet he would grab a 5k personal best with a 14:56.19 clocking. Getting entered in the 10,000m at the Big West Championships, Totari would execute his plan perfectly. Steadily moving up through the field he would come across the line in 6th place with a 10k life time best of 31:20.52.
2005 Cross Country: Had a great Freshman season for the Gauchos. Totari finished 13th at the UCI Invitational and then posted a quick freshman 25:11 8km time at the Stanford Invitational. Just outside the Conference roster he concluded his season at the Cal Poly SLO invite finishing in 14th with a time of 27:04 on a hilly course.
High School: Totari posted good career bests in his senior year, racing the 3200m at the prestigious Arcadia Invitational in 9:23.40. But, one of his most impressive statistics came in the 5,000m at the Mt. Sac Invitational where he ran a smart 14:58.60, already a Big West qualifying mark for that event. In Cross Country he finished 27th overall at the State Championships his senior year.
