2006 Track & Field -- Slowly coming back from injury, Powers ran just off his personal best in the steeplechase at the Cal Poly SLO - UCSB Dual Meet finishing in 9:25. He then went into the Big West Championships looking to score some points for the Men's squad as he had done as a Freshman. Powers would come across the line in 7th place in a time of 9:27 accomplishing his mission after his early season injury.
2005 Cross Country -- His strongest Cross Country season, he managed to race well through some lingering pain. He opened up in mid-October at the Cal Poly SLO invite in 8th place with a time of 26:43.7. Being placed on the Conference roster he would finish a strong 14th overall, his highest finish at the Big West Championships and in a 8k cross best of 24:39.4.
2005 Track & Field -- Plagued with injuries, Powers was forced to sit out and red-shirt the 2005 Track season.
2004 Cross Country -- Powers Red-shirted the 2004 Cross Country season.
2004 Track & Field -- Mike had a very impressive Freshman season with PRs in the 1500m (4:06.54) and the 3000m Steeplechase (9:22.44). With an impressive 2nd place finish at the Big West Challenge Cup in the Steeplechase, Mike went on to score at the Big West Conference Championships in the Steeplechase with a 4th place finish.
2003 Cross Country -- Mike opened the season with a 26:35 at the UCSB Lagoon Open...ran 25:48 at the Stanford Invitational.
High School -- Powers ran 15:07 at Mt. SAC to win the 2002 CIF SS D3 XC Championship...finished 5th at the CA State XC D3 finals. Mike ran a personal best 4:22.32 for 1600m at the 2003 Arcadia Invitational, and finished 4th in the 3200m at the 2003 CIF SS D3 Finals.
