2006 Track & Field -- Set personal bests throughout the year qualifying for the Big West Championships at 1500m. He started his season with a 5k best at the All-Cal Challenge Cup with a 15:18.83. Hovering around 4:00 for 1500m throughout the season, Lopez broke through at the UCSB-Cal Dual Meet with a 3:56.90, setting almost a two second personal best for himself.
2005 Cross Country -- Redshirted his first season as a Gaucho. Racing unattached he set a seasonal best at the Fullerton Invitational racing to a 25:41, 14th place finish.
Junior College -- Set a personal best at 1500m en route to a 4th place finish at the CA JC Champs. Also took home `05 WSC 1500m title.
