UCSB Loses First Round Match in MPSF Tournament to Top-Ranked USC, 10-5

Nov. 28, 2003

LONG BEACH, Calif. - Seven different USC players found the back of the net as the top-seeded Trojans defeated eighth-seeded UC Santa Barbara, 10-5, to advance to the semi-finals of the 2003 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation tournament.

Gadi Hadar, Trevor Clark and Thomas Hale each scored twice for USC. Goalkeeper Bozidar Damjanovic needed only three saves in the victory.

UCSB netminder Rick Wright posted nine saves in the contest.

The Trojans improve to 20-3 overall while UC Santa Barbara drops to 13-16 and will take on Long Beach State on Saturday.
