ACWPC ALL-ACADEMIC
Made an immediate impact as a true freshman earning him MPSF Newcomer of the Year and Second Team All-MPSF accolades...Played in 23 contests and was second on the team, and first amongst 2008 returners, with 53 goals...Led the Gauchos with his 2.3 goals per game average, ranking sixth in the MPSF...Was tied first amongst the Gauchos with 36 assists...Accumulated 18 steals and earned 19 penalties or ejections...Was third on the team with 13 field blocks...Posted 17 multiple-goal games, including seven games with a hat trick or more, and led the team for scoring in 10 contests...Posted a season-high five goals twice: against Pacific (Oct. 14) and UCLA in the final contest of the season (Nov. 25)...Posted four goals in loss to powerhouse USC (Oct. 10)...Had two goals in victory over Stanford (Oct. 27)...Led the team with nine goals at the MPSF Tournament...Was named ACWPC All-Academic for his performance in the classroom.

Played for Partizan Belgrade with which he has won more than 20 national championships and cups...Has earned several Most Valuable Player honors at tournaments...Won the European Championship with the Serbian National Youth Team, which he names as his most memorable athletic achievement...Played for the national youth and cadet teams for more than five years and in approximately 80 games...In addition to the European Championships, he also participated in several international tournaments in Gorizia-Italy, Sicily-Italy, Serbia, Slovakia, Turkey, Croatia, Arta-Greece, Creta-Greece, Syros-Greece and the Diana Cup-Sofia.

Milos Golic was born on June 22, 1988 in Belgrade, Serbia...His parents are Milorad and Hadezda Golic...Majoring in business and managerial economics at UCSB...Enjoys listening to music in his free time and his favorite artist is the Serbian band Riblja Corba ...He also enjoys reading, his favorite book is "Gates of Fire" by Steven Pressfield...In addition to water polo, he likes to play basketball, handball and snooker, a game similar to pool...His favorite movie is "Braveheart"...Chose UCSB because of the great education combined with the opportunity to play on a good water polo team.
