Round 2 Results for the UCSB/Elephant Bar Invitational Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003

Match 5: UCLA sweeps CS Northridge, 30-25, 30-18, and 30-21. UCLA advances to championship, facing UC Irvine at 7pm in Robertson Gym.

Match 6: UC Irvine defeats UCSB, 30-23, 28-30, 30-27, 27-30, and 15-7. UCSB faces Cal State Northridge at 5 pm in the third place match.

Match 7: Long Beach State defeats USC 30-19, 30-22, and 30-26. Long Beach State plays Stanford at 3 pm in the fifth place match.

Match 8: Stanford defeats Pacific 30-32, 30-22, 30-22, 30-27 and plays Long Beach for fifth place. Pacific and USC play at 1 pm for seventh place.

Match 9: USC defeats Pacific 30-26, 28-30, 30-24, 24-30, 15-12 and places seventh leaving Pacific in eighth place.

Match 10: Long Beach State defeats Stanford 33-31, 25-30, 30-27, 30-24 and places in fifth while Stanford places sixth.

Match 11: Cal State Northridge defeats UCSB 30-26, 24-30, 34-32, 31-29 and places in third while UCSB ends in fourth.

Match 12: UC Irvine defeats UCLA 21-30, 30-26, 30-18, 36-38, 17-15 to win the tournament, leaving UCLA in second.
