Gaucho junior Scott McConville established a new school record for the metric mile with his time of 3:46.77 at the Stanford Invitational last weekend. That broke an eight-year-old record in the 1,500 meters previously held by Dave Cullum. McConville's time was good for 15th overall in Saturday's race and qualified him for the NCAA West Regionals in May.
