UC SANTA BARBARA
2006:Appeared in a career-best 16 matches for the Gauchos last season...Made his first career start at Cal State Northridge (9/27)...Got the starting nod in four other contests including UCSB's 2-1 come-from-behind win over San Diego State in the NCAA Tournament First Round (11/11)...The Gauchos were 4-1-0 in the five games he started last season...Saw significant time during Santa Barbara's title run, specifically against SDSU, SMU, Old Dominion, and UCLA, filling in for injured defender Jeff Murphy...Recorded two shots on the year, including the first of his career.

Spent time with four different club programs -- the MVLA Untouchables in 2002, the DeAnza Ruckus in 2003, and both the San Juan Predators and Santa Clara Sporting Ruckus in 2004...Captained both the Predators and the Sporting Ruckus that year...Led MVLA to the Cal-North Premier League title...Won the U.S. Club National Championship, as well as the California State and Portland Cups with De Anza...Qualified for the USL Super Y League Tournament with the Predators...Helped guide San Juan to a pair of Nomads Tournament titles, the Thanksgiving Invitational, and the College Showcase...Won the Cal-North State Cup with the Santa Clara Sporting Ruckus.

Kaveny attended Hotchkiss High School in Lakeville, Conn. for a post-graduate year in 2003 after graduating Magna Cum Laude from St. Francis High School in Mountain View, Calif....Was a member of the National Honor Society at SFHS...Twice recognized with all-league honors at St. Francis and was named his team's captain and MVP as a senior...He also ran track at Hotchkiss, ranking as high as first in the league for the 200 meter sprint.
