2008 ALL-BIG WEST HONORABLE MENTION
UC SANTA BARBARA
2008: Played in all but one of the Gauchos' 22 games...Was one of five players to start in 20 or more games...Saw 1,706 minutes on the field, the fourth most on the team...Played 90 or more minutes in all but seven games he appeared in...Was one of eight players with two or more assists...In the 35th minute against Evansville (9/18), he assisted Chris Pontius to tie the game at 1-1, leading to a 4-2 victory... Assisted the equalizer at UC Irvine (10/4) in the 27th minute, which helped the Gauchos go on to win 2-1...Earned All-Big West Honorable Mention accolades. 2007: Appeared in 12 games for the Gauchos before suffering a season-ending knee injury...Made 10 starts in his first season, the most among UCSB's freshmen...Santa Barbara allowed a total of just eight goals in those contests for a .80 goals against average.

A member of New Zealand's 2008 Olympic squad that competed in Beijing, China...Started two of three Olympic matches as the Oly-Whites went 0-2-1 with a tie vs. China and losses against Belgium and Brazil...Came to UCSB after competing in the 2006 FIFA U-20 World Championships in Canada with the New Zealand National Team...Earned two international caps with the New Zealand `A' squad...At the club level, he competed for Central United F.C. and led the team to the 2007 Northern Premier League title...Also played for his hometown squad, Auckland City F.C. and won the N.Z. Football Championship...Was named the Auckland City Young Player of the Year with Central United in 2006 and then again with Auckland City F.C. in 2007.
HIGH SCHOOL
Played center and right back for four years at Mt. Albert Grammar School in Auckland...Named team captain as a senior in 2006 and led the Lions to a second Knockout Cup title in three years and to the Auckland Secondary School Soccer Association Championship...Mt. Albert went on to finish second at nationals that year...The Lions also won the league title in 2004 and 2005 and placed first at the national tournament in 2005...Won the Head Perfect Award for academics as a senior.
