SIMI VALLEY, Calif. - Greg Wells shot a 222 to lead UC Santa Barbara to a 13th-place at the Bill Cullum/Countrywide Intercollegiate at Wood Ranch Golf Course in Simi Valley, Calif.

As a team, the Gauchos finished with a three round total of 895. After shooting a solid 291 in the first round, UCSB struggled in round two with a 304. In the third round, the Gauchos bounced-back somewhat with a 300.

In addition to Wells' 222, Sean Meier shot a 226, Michael Feuerstein shot 228, Brian Six shot 229 and Nick Telliard shot a 230. Meier's first-round score of 67 was the team's best round of golf this year and it was the lowest single round shot by any golfer in the tournament.

UCSB returns to action on October 27 when it travels to the Santa Clara Invitational.
