STOCKTON, Calif. - Greg Wells shot a 206 to finish second among individuals and lead the UC Santa Barbara golf team to a solid fourth-place finish at the Pacific Invitational in Stockton, Calif., on Tuesday.

Wells, a junior, shot in the 60s for all three rounds. On Monday, he shot a 69 in the first round and a 68 in the second, and on Tuesday he shot another 69 in the final round. It marked the first time in his Gaucho career that he had shot under 70 in all all three rounds of a tournament. The 206 was good enough for second-place finish, two shots back of Cal Poly's Travis Bertoni.

Ryan Keefe and Michael Feuerstein each shot 229 to finish tied for 27th. Nick Telliard shot 230 to tie for 31st-place and Sean Meier shot 243 to tie for 64th.

As a team, the Gauchos shot 891, finishing 28 shots behind first-place UC Riverside.
