SANTA CRUZ, Calif. -
Greg Wells shot a solid 215, including a third-round 70, to finish in a tie for 14th-place at the 58th Annual Western Intercollegiate at Pasatiempo Golf Course in Santa Cruz, Calif. As a team, UC Santa Barbara finished 11th out of 15.
Wells shot 72 and 73 in the first two rounds before finishing strong with a 70 in the third round. Brian Six recorded a 221 to tie for 36th and Nick Telliard scored a 222 to tie for 41st. Michael Feuerstein and Jen-luc Burnier were the other two UCSB finishers, logging 225 and 227 respectively.
The University of Colorado shot an 852 to win the team title and Buffalo Kane Webber shot a 4-under par 206 to win the individual title.
UCSB returns to the course on Thursday, March 25, when it plays in the Cal Poly Invitational at the Cypress Ridge Golf Course in Arroyo Grande, Calif.
