Scott Lewis comes to UC Santa Barbara from Coronado High School in his hometown of Henderson, Nev....The son of Mike and Carre Lewis...Attended the Meadows School for two years before moving on to Coronado HS...As a senior, Lewis had a stroke average of 71...In 2007, he was named Southern Nevada 4A Player of the Year, All-Southern Nevada and All-Sunrise Region...In 2005, while at The Meadows School, he was named Nevada State 2A Player of the Year and the Las Vegas Review Journal 2A Male Golfer of the Year...His best single round was a 5-under par 67 at Genoa Lakes in Nevada...Lewis' best two-day tournament was in 2005, when he shot back-to-back 68s to finish eight-under par at the Southwest Section PGA Ping Junior Championships...He was the 2007 4A Sunrise Regional Champion and Nevada State Runner-up...In 2005, he was the Nevada 2A State Champ...Helped lead The Meadows School to Nevada 2A State titles in 2004 and 2005...His favorite courses include La Cumbre Country Club, Sandpiper Golf Course, Southern Highlands Country Club and Dragon Ridge Country Club...Also played basketball in high school...Considers driving accuracy his strength and bunker play his weakness...Hopes to major in psychology.
