2008-09
One of the finest outside shooters on the team, sophomore Jordan Weiner will be an important role player for UCSB in 2008-09...His deep shooting range should allow Weiner to benefit from the extended three-point line.
2007-08
As a redshirt freshman, Weiner played in 21 games for the Gauchos, averaging 2.4 points per game...Scored 51 points on the season, 45 of which came on 15 three-point baskets...Scored 12 points, making 4-of-5 three-point attempts, in a game at Ball State...Had a pair of three-pointers in home games against Pacific and Davis, and a contest at North Carolina...Made 44.1% from outside the arc...Also contributed 12 steals, including a high of three against Cal Poly.
2006-07
Weiner redshirted the 2006-07 season.
High School
Attended Birmingham High School in Van Nuys, Calif....Weiner was selected First Team All-West Valley League after averaging 18 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals per game as a senior in 2005-06...Also set a school record with 74 three-point baskets as a senior, shooting 50.0% from outside the arc...Helped lead Birmingham to the Los Angeles City Section Playoffs in 2004-05 and 2005-06...In his final season, Weiner's squad advanced to the quarterfinals in the postseason...Scored a career high 31 points against Price HS...Added 30 points against Torrance HS and 28 against Palisades HS...Set a school record with seven three-point baskets against Price HS and Harvard-Westlake HS...Weiner recorded a personal high of 10 rebounds against LACES, a Los Angeles magnet school...Produced a pair of five-assist games, one each against Bishop O'Dowd HS and El Camino Real HS...Had seven steals in a pair of games against El Camino Real HS...During his senior year, Weiner was named MVP of the War on the Floor Tournament and he was chosen to the Ocean View Tournament of Champions All-Tournament Team...Coached by André McCarter.

Jordan Benjamin Weiner was born June 2, 1988 in Los Angeles, Calif....The son of Ben and Arlene Weiner...Graduated from Birmingham High School with High Honors...He was also selected the school's Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2005-06 and he earned an A.P. Scholar Award...Also competed in baseball...In addition to English, he can speak some Hebrew and Spanish...Steve Nash, Michael Jordan, Lance Armstrong and André McCarter are among his favorite athletes...Favorite authors are Shakespeare, Elie Wiesel, Lorraine Hansberry and J.D. Salinger...Favorite literary works are Hamlet, A Raisin in the Sun and Catcher in the Rye...Roots for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Lakers, as well as the Oakland Raiders...Favorite movies include Wedding Crashers, Borat, and the Godfather...Weiner enjoys swimming, reading, and going to the beach...Majoring in political science at UCSB...Hopes to become a lawyer.
