A WALL FOR THE AGES

Donate Now

1966 Gaucho football captains proudly wear their Block C letter jacket as they posed with Bob Skoronsky, a co-captain of the Green Bay Packer team which prepared for Super Bowl I at UCSB. From left, Bart Weitzenberg, Corky Barrett and Paul Vallerga.
Whether you are a letter winner, staunch supporter, loyal fan or a friend of the family, the Wall of Achievement -- currently on the drawing board -- will symbolize your contribution to Gaucho athletics. The GAA has energetically embraced the Wall's fund raising effort, and toward that goal, we implore the help of every proud wearer of a Block C letter jacket.

You earned your coveted varsity letter through hard work, dauntless dedication and a commitment to a cause you embraced with true Gaucho grit, soul and spirit. You wore it with honor, pride and distinction -- a symbol of stamina, sacrifice, selflessness and success.

And when you donned your letter-winner's jacket you displayed the rewards of dedication, durability and discipline. You spilled sweat, shared smiles and shed tears with teammates en route to this milestone. And your legacy of competitiveness, courage, passion and perseverance has enhanced and enriched the fabric of Gaucho history, tradition and lore.

Funds are still needed to construct the Wall of Achievement -- a monument which will acknowledge and preserve your place in history -- and as supporters of this noble and worthy project, the GAA asks that each Gaucho letter winner who reads this message will rise to the occasion once more. Your donation will help make the wall a reality. We thank you one more time.
